WSC Football Faces Toughest Challenge Next Week

The Wayne State College football team is looking to add onto their, already, historical season next week against the University of Sioux Falls Cougars.

WSC will be traveling down to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in search of an upset. While both teams are 7-2 on the season, the Cougars are ranked 18 and this seems to be the fiercest game of the Wildcats season.

With the Wildcats big win last week against Upper Iowa University, they’re hoping to bring this momentum into the next game.

This would be the fifth time that these teams will meet.

WSC is 0-4 against the Cougars with the closest game being a 19-point difference. The Wildcats plan on, again, making history this year by doing their part to benefit the team in any way.

“We’ve all accepted our role and know (that) if we do our part, we can be a really good football team,” senior Wide Receiver Mason Lee said.

The players believe they will win this upcoming game.

“Trusting that the guy next to you will do their job as they trust you to do yours,” sophomore Offensive Lineman Saquahan Cobbs said.

The matchup between the two teams will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Bob Young Field at 1 p.m.
