Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

Lots of big rich corporations offer the little guy to profit by their success, too, in the form of stock. Maybe when you start saving for retirement you will see this more clearly. (In response to Chad Christensen’s column last week.)

Walmart may not be perfect but it offers employment to skilled, unskilled, able, elderly, diabled and teens. It has most all our needs in one spot and the savings can’t be disputed. Do I still shop on my main street? Of course, and I spend plenty of my income locally.

Speak with your feet and your funds. I don’t care for how hogs and Tyson chicken are raised, so I avoid both. Isn’t it great to live in a country where we have choices? The rich are not bad —just more clear than me.

Sincerly,
Nancy Hartnett
