W.W. Galore, a store for unique, handcrafted items will open for business at its new location in Laurel, NE. on February 19.

W.W. Galore has been a part of the Wayne community since 2020, when they opened their doors during the COVID-19 pandemic. The business spent a total of three years in business in Wayne. The store is owned by Jamie Anderson and her friend/business partner, Missy Cale.

W.W. Galore became famous in Wayne for its vast collection of home decor, jewelry, and holiday gems.

W.W Galore also assists local vendors in selling their handmade items, by allowing the vendors to pay a small rental fee to use the store’s space. Clara Osten, an editor at the Wayne Herald, said that the store’s variety of things was what made the store very unique.

One of the reasons the store is moving locations is that the space where the store is located is in a rental space, However, Anderson always wished to own her own space and found a space that she fell in love with the new space in Laurel.

According to W.W. Galore’s official website, the store also specializes in event supplies such as tables, linens, flower arrangements and greenery for happy events like weddings. Anderson said that one of her goals for the store is that she wants to do more with the wedding rentals and create more with it.

According to the owner, the store is inspired by the cavern scene in Disney’s Little Mermaid and the store’s name comes from the lyrics, “I’ve got whozits and whatzits galore” from Ariel’s song, “Part of Your World.” Anderson said the name, W.W. Galore was the name of her online store on Etsy that Anderson had managed for the last twenty years.

“It’s kind of bittersweet,” Anderson said. “I’m excited about owning my building and setting up a new space is always a fun part, but I’ve made a lot of friends and have a lot of loyal customers in Wayne, so I’ll miss that stuff.”

W.W Galore is a store with numerous, unique “gadgets and gizmos a-plenty” and is getting ready to share with the community of Laurel. Even though they are leaving loyal customers in Wayne, Anderson and Cale hope that their customers and vendors come and pay a visit at their location at 102 East 2nd St., in Laurel.
