Alondra Castillo, Staff Writer

Alondra Castillo is a freshman at Wayne State College majoring in journalism with a plan to minor in electronic media. Her hobbies include reading, thrifting, and of course, playing Roblox with her five and ten-year-old sisters. Family is very important to Alondra. Her family consists of her mom, Velinda, her grandma, Karen, her little sisters, Sofia and Angelina, and last but not least, her two dogs, Lizzy and Yoshi.
She was born and raised in Columbus, Nebraska, which is just about an hour from Wayne. There, she attended K-12 at Columbus Public Schools until her graduation from Columbus High School. At Columbus High, she was a member of the CHS art club. It was a fun club where she could take all her creativity and put it into a physical form, such as paintings, drawings, or even pottery sculptures. She was also a journalist for CHS Anchor News from the 10th grade till graduation. She wrote about many things including sports, school clubs, and local activities and events. Not only did she write articles, but she made videos for the public to watch. Alondra enjoys filming and editing just as much as she love writing articles. She is looking forward to creating content for all The Wayne Stater readers to read or watch!
