Lurye Baxa

Lurye Baxa, Arts and Entertainment Editor

Lurye Baxa is a second-year student at Wayne State College majoring in journalism and minoring in editing and publishing. Her interests include reading, writing, Harry Potter, Marvel, Disney movies and spending time with her dogs and family. She was born in Carroll, Iowa but was mostly raised in Fremont, Nebraska by her parents, Summer and Matthew, and her two brothers, Mitchell and William. She also has three dogs: a mutt named Roxie, a Pomeranian named Rio and an Aussiedoodle named Nasa. She attended years K-12 at Fremont Public Schools and graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 2021. In high school, she worked for the school magazine, The Rustler, as the copy editor and the editor-in-chief. She has enjoyed editing and writing her entire life. She cannot wait to create content and edit for the Wayne Stater!
