The returning scholarship application for 2025-26 has a deadline of Feb. 1 making now the perfect time for returning and current Wayne State students to register for scholarships.
The Director of Financial Aid, Britney Hart, views this period of registration as significant.
“The key thing I feel is important is reminding students about the application deadline,” she said. “Also, any returning student must complete the scholarship application to be considered for any scholarship.”
It’s no secret that college can be expensive for many. Scholarships are there for students who need financial aid and those who qualify for it benefit greatly.
Scholarships can still be confusing for students to find, however. Thankfully, there are resources for students to help them through this process. The Scholarship Institute is a great resource for such matters.
Its website, scholarshipintitute.org, is accessible to help students through the process of deciding what scholarships are best for them and how to apply. The Institute’s website writers are experienced and dedicated to supporting students and helping them make informed financial decisions.
The website provides a comprehensive list of scholarships for a wide range of demographics and college majors. These categories include scholarships for LGBTQ people, people of color, disabled people and Christians as well as scholarships for specific majors like education and business.
The website also provides directions to other scholarship websites for trustworthy information. It ranks the websites based on various criteria, such as how trustworthy the site is and how much funding in scholarships it provides for students.
