World Speech day is an event encouraging voices all around the world to speak out and spread ideas. While it is typically celebrated on May 15, the Leadership Communication class here at Wayne State College will be hosting our very own World Speech Day event on Monday, March 20, in the Kanter Student Center Atrium. With hopes of inspiring a collective vision, we aim to provide a platform for students to share their voices and listen to others. We hope to celebrate the wide range of differences among a diverse student body seeking to create a common good and better our society as a whole. Please join us between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. as we host a day of live speaking. We would like to invite you to share any speech you have written yourself, or perhaps one you find to be inspiring. World Speech Day is dedicated to speeches and raising ideas, so free your hands and share your voice!
