Emergency crews respond to mechanical malfunction at Morey Hall
Emergency crews were called to Morey Hall on the southeast end of campus shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Jason Mrsny, campus security manager, said Morey Hall residents were immediately evacuated to Gardner Hall as a result of a mechanical malfunction with a steam pipe’s relief valve.
The Wayne Police Department, Wayne Volunteer Fire Department and WSC Campus Security were on scene until just before 11:30 p.m.
Shortly after, Morey Hall residents were allowed back into the building. No injuries were reported.
