The Wayne State College theatre department is currently rehearsing for the play The Romancers, and will be putting on the show Harvey after The Romancers wraps performances on October 6th.
Wayne’s theatre program has begun its season of drama with the play The Romancers, originally written by Edmond Rostand. The play is currently rehearsing with direction from Mollie Young. Performances for the show are from October 2 to October 6, with the last day being the matinee show.
Young said that she likes the “humor” of the play. Young also said she enjoys working with freshmen, as “they bring a fresh feel to rehearsals.” She also said that freshmen “push senior castmembers” in order to remain consistent.
After the conclusion of The Romancers, rehearsals for Harvey will begin, with direction from Rusty Ruth.
