Wayne State College President Dr. Marysz Rames wants to continue growing the opportunities at Wayne State in many ways as she enters her eleventh year as the WSC president.
“We’ve done a lot of good things together as faculty, staff, administration. Students do really help continue to build on a strong foundation here at Wayne State,” Rames said.
Across her ten years, Rames has helped improve WSC in many ways, including the academic facilities. Benthack Hall, the Center for Applied Technology, the Conn Library, the rec center and the Peterson Fine Arts building have all seen renovations, while new additions to the campus such as Stearns hall and the Wildcat Dome are also abundant.
Now in her eleventh year, Rames said she wants to continue growing the opportunities offered to all students across campus. In addition, Rames wants to focus on increasing the enrollment rate.
Rames also said a long-term goal for WSC is to increase rates of adult learners and graduate students. Rames said she wants to keep the enrollment rate up. This includes all types of students from undergraduate to online students.
“We’re going to need the faculty to continue to look at new academic programs that fit the needs of our regions,” Rames said. “I think it’s going to be a challenge to see how we manage all that and stay focused on, again, creating programs that support the region and our students,”
In addition to more programs, Rames wants to work to increase online offerings. Online learning will not only open opportunities for current students, but it would help create opportunities for international students and adult-learners. International students are another group of students that are important to Wayne State.

President Rames’ leadership is also one of allowing her administration to trash students, facial dishonesty about the safety of campus, and a complete negligence in hiring practice. Don’t believe me? Google my name.
