The search is on for WSC PRIDE Drag Show

The PRIDE Organization is currently on the lookout for drag queens to be in the annual WSC PRIDE Drag Show.

The drag show will be held on March 2, 2016, in the Kanter Student Center.

It usually consists of about ten performers who can be professional drag queens or WSC students. Students from PRIDE go to drag shows in Omaha and Lincoln to find the best performers.

The drag show is something that the PRIDE organization works on year round. The biggest event held during the school year. Last spring’s show drew more than 500 people.

“I helped hand out bracelets and saw students getting in line at least an hour before the show,” senior Sondra Wellington said.

“I got in line about an hour before the show, and it was already by the main dining area,” sophomore Landon Norquest said. “Last year’s drag show was the first one I’ve ever been able to attend at WSC, and it was spectacular.”
