The CHS Trucking Company presented a check of $5,249.40 to the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department’s Hazardous Material Team in last night’s city council meeting. The company was appreciative of the fire department’s response of the truck spill that occurred near Wisner.

 
Champion Coatings Inc. was given a payment of $84,150 for the Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project.

 
Changes were made to the Logan Valley Drive water and sewer extension project, which made an increase of $4,000 to $8,000.

 
There was much debate between council members as the issue of approving the motion of giving Robert Woehler & Sons Construction, Inc. another extension to the Grainland Road Water and Sanitary Sewer Project. The project was extended to Nov. 1, but is now expected to have final completion by Nov. 30 of this year.

 
There were two payments given to the 2016 Wayne Aquatic Center Project, one of which paid for underground electrical complications, which was a total of $359. The other was a payment of $1,169 for future handrails.

 
The Jug Store LLC, which is hoped to be open by the second week in December, was given a Class CK liquor license.
