A sexual assault was reported to Campus Security on March 5. The incident is under investigation by WSC’s Title IX officer. The case is still ongoing and few details can be given. Campus Security did record, though, that the incident occurred in Neihardt Hall.Title IX is a federal law prohibiting sex discrimination in educational institutions. It is from the Higher Education Act of 1965, amended in 1972 and 1987.

A fire alarm was set off in Neihardt Hall on Mon. at 5:15 p.m. Campus Security reported the alarm went off as a result of a valve and a pipe that broke in Neihardt’s sprinkler system.

The Wayne Police Department’s (WPD) media bulletin recorded that the WPD received a call on Sat. at 2:32 a.m. The caller reported an adult procuring alcohol for a minor. The bulletin stated that the event occurred at WSC on Main St. Campus Security stated that two WSC students were involved, but that the event happened off campus. The investigation is ongoing.
