Cat PAC will be hosting “Wish Upon a Star: Craft Night” in the Kanter Student Center Atrium on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
All students are invited to attend and make friendship bracelets and origami paper stars. Cat PAC will also have jars for students to put their origami stars in. The event is completely free and the materials for the event will be provided by Cat PAC.
Mason Chamberlain, an event planner for Cat PAC, talked about why this event came about.
“I worked with my coworker to come up with the event; we just thought that origami crafts would be cute,” Chamberlain said. “We also picked out cute jars so that people can fill up their jars with paper stars as their ‘wishing stars’.”
Chamberlain talked about why these events that they plan are important for students on campus.
“I think its’s important to give students an opportunity to meet new people and give them something to do outside of school and studying.” Chamberlain said. “I like working as an event planner because I get to help create events that people will enjoy, and that will hopefully give them a chance to just relax and build community here at college.”
