VIOLENT VIRA, an alternative/indie artist, dropped her first official album last Friday.
The album introduces nine new songs and three already released songs.
“The Intro” is alright, about what you would expect for an intro, 6/10.
Missing Posters, is a solid 7.5/10.
The song’s official visualizer cuts between VIRA and the ghost.
“Fall from me, in memory” VIOLENT VIRA said.
“Burn Me With a Bible,” was one of the songs that was released before the album and is a solid 8.5/10.
When I first heard this song solo, I was not a huge fan, but kept I listening to it.
The more I listened to it, I felt the emotion in the song.
“Eat,” is a solid 8/10, with the lyrics talking about how it is getting harder and harder to live with the expectations set in the world.
“It’s such a bitch to try when we can’t disregard the way we made, a meal to be a rare commodity,” VIRA said.
“Indie,” a more upbeat song compared to a lot of her other songs beat wise. The lyrics are a bit darker, talking about her church and her past. I gave it a 7.5/10.
“I tried, to reprise, that I wanted to DIE,” VIRA said.
“Common Decency,” a song released before the album isn’t amazing, 6.5/10.
“Lil Crush,” I love the beat in this, and the lyrics are just amazing on top of that, with it having so much added to the vocals. I gave it a solid 10/10.
“I wanna see, if this obsession will be a flawed analogy, the mold growing beneath, SO BURY IT INSIDE,” VIRA said.
“Wave In The Monitor” has a nice transition from “Lil Crush.” The song is a 7.5/10.
“Interlude” and “Saccharine,” I love the transition from “Interlude” to “Saccharine” with how it smoothly goes into “Saccharine.”
“Saccharine” already was one of my favorite songs before the album. It gets a 10/10 and the transition is a 10/10.
“Trap Nest” is a solid 9.5/10. Both the lyrics and instrumentals have their ups and a bit of downs, but overall, a good song.
“I’m the cause, of breaking, I’m the reason, for all wrong and what’s right” VIRA said.
“Sex Narcissist,” a really good song, has a super good beginning.
The lyrics and instrumentals are good the whole way through, making this an easy 10/10.
“I love all the faceless, I love all the words, I love all the envy, the bridges it burns,” VIRA said.
“You Promised,” is a good song to start wrapping up the story.
She talks about marriage and how she can’t accept the truth and wants to have her love back. A solid 7/10.
“They’re all lying, saying that you don’t love me?” VIRA said.
“Chasing Ghosts,” was the perfect ending to this album.
A somber ending to the album, a perfect 10/10 from the emotions put into this whole album and the somber ending.
“And I feel like this medicine won’t be enough for my brain, it’s a river of apologies, it’s as vast as a lake, it’s the love we dissolve in the deep end, too tired to wade,” VIRA said.
