Ten Great Dates
February 10, 2015
• Roll on over to Wakefield to hit the roller rink downtown.
• Head to Rice Auditorium for a game or head to Ramsey Theater for a performance. What’s better than cheering on the Cats in our many activities?
• Wayne has a bowling alley. Pool tables, arcade games, bar, snacks and of course bowling….all cheap and fun.
• Poetry and fiction slams and open mic nights are hosted multiple times a semester at the Max and The Coffee Shoppe downtown. Grab some of your work to read or just take it all.
• Sioux City has indoor ice-skating year round; Norfolk has selective outdoor ice skating throughout the winter at Divots Event Center. If you can rollerblade, you can ice skate….plus it gives you an excuse to hold hands.
• Make a short drive to Sioux City for some a hockey game on the weekend, top it off with some ice-cream from Coldstone and you’re set.
• Hit the Majestic! $4 tickets and delicious popcorn, what’s more to say?
• While you’re at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City for that hockey game, check their box office for upcoming shows there or check with the Orpheum and the Hard Rock Casino. Concerts, Broadway shows, comedians and illusionists headline often!
• If the weather’s nice, head northwest 45 minutes to Yankton to enjoy some lake time or take your chances at the go-kart track and laser tag.
• By mid-April, local racetracks are gearing up for their opening races. Norfolk, Columbus and Sioux City all have tracks near. If you can handle a little dust and a lot of speed, this is for you!
