The Nebraska Passport tours will be held May 1 through Sept. 30.
The Nebraska Passport is a summer travel event held all over the state. Participants can visit up to 70 stops, collecting stamps and earning prizes along the way. From Gering in the panhandle, to Nebraska’s largest city of Omaha, the stops aren’t just along Interstate 80. The group will also be traveling up to towns like Alliance, Norfolk, and even a stop in Wayne.
According to the official Nebraska Passport website, “The purpose of the Nebraska Passport is to help travelers discover Nebraska’s hidden jems. The Nebraska Passport is special because it offers a wide variety of travel adventures, including museums, parks, restaurants, wineries, retail stores and more.”
There are 70 stops on the Passport for 2025, including Rose’s Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Wayne, the Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA) in Kearney, the Western Nebraska Pioneers Baseball Club in Gering and many places in between. Some cities have multiple stops, like Kearney, Grand Island, Norfolk, Lincoln and Omaha because of their size.
It’s easy to participate. First, download the Nebraska Passport app or request the physical booklet, then, visit each stop and either request stamps or take a selfie outside the establishment. Then, turn in your stamps and collect prizes. The website also has a spot where you can submit your passport stories.
The prizes come in tiers. Collect ten stamps to recieve $5 in Nebraska lottery coupons and a commemorative magnet. 25 stamps will get a visit Nebraska calendar. 50 will get a Nebraska Passport poster. Collecting all 70 will net a “Passport champion” t-shirt, three Passport pins, and an additional $45 Nebraska Lottery voucher. The Nebraska Lottery tickets can only be claimed by those who are over 19 before Oct. 1, 2025, For those under 19, a Passport frisbee can be substituted for the lottery tickets. All tiers come with listed prize as well as the previous tiers’ prizes.
