Wayne has introduced another smoke shop called Galaxy Vape and Smoke which opened its door on Nov. 10. 

The owners shared insights about their background and previous shops.  

“We have [a shop] back in Mora, Minnesota,” co-owner Ash Duba said. “It is a really small town too, and we loved the community a lot. We donated to the food shelters, and they are building a veteran park too, so we donated to that.” 

Duba and her team enjoy providing and helping small towns by opening up vape shops that bring the community together.  

“We like to give back to the community, and that’s why we love small towns,” Duba said. “They are more in need of help, plus we provide a service.”  

The news store’s owners ended up moving to Grand Island in April where they opened up another vape shop.  

“We moved down to Grand Island and opened a shop down there,” Duba said. “We originally wanted to come to Wayne first, but we couldn’t find a place.”  

Since its opening, Galaxy Vape and Smoke has had lots of business allowing the staff to connect with the community and build relationships with the citizens of Wayne.  

“It’s been wonderful, and we have been meeting such great people,” Duba said. “We are just here to give back to the community, that’s our main goal. That is what we love about small towns.” 

When asked about another vape shop opening in Wayne, a few students feel it is a good thing for the town as it brings more parts of the population together.  

 “The other vape shop in town does not have a wide range of products like the new one does,” a group of WSC students said. “This new vape shop seems to be more modern than the other one.
