A Grad/Law School Workshop will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, hosted by Pi Gamma Mu.
Pi Gamma Mu, the social sciences honor society is holding a workshop to help students prepare for their graduate degrees or law degrees. The workshop will be held Oct. 9 at 3:30 p.m., in Connell Hall, Room 131. Any student that wants more information on graduate or law school can attend this workshop, even if they are not graduating this year. This event is meant to help students looking to complete a master’s degree, doctorate, or any other kind of graduate degree, whether required for their career path or not.
This workshop will discuss different graduate and law school options, how and when to apply, what is needed for the application, what’s required to become a lawyer, how to prepare for the Graduate Records Examination (GRE), Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or the bar exam. Anything related to schooling outside of a basic 4-year degree will be talked about at this workshop.
There will be presentations from WSC professors: Eric Colvard, a history professor, Jeff Shelton, a psychology/sociology professor, and Rachel Kunz, a criminal justice professor. Geography professor Randy Bertolas, advisor for Pi Gamma Mu, will also be present at the workshop.
According to Bertolas, the fair has seen all sorts of majors. Some majors are a bit rarer to see than others, but all are welcome to attend.
