Campus Security Manager Jason Mrsny said that the winter break was relatively quiet, crime-wise. Numbers were low, which was good for Campus Security. But as students flood the campus, the numbers begin to rise.

Mrsny said he hopes for a good and safe new semester.

The past two weeks:

Graffiti was found by Campus Security on the side of the tennis court storage shed Monday, Jan. 19. Mrsny said that the graffiti read “BLAZE” in big letters. •A burglary occurred in Morey Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 20 around 6:45 p.m. Campus Security said that a personal item was taken from a student’s dorm room while they were not present.

A female suffered an accidental injury at the Recreation Center during basketball intramurals on Thursday, Jan. 22. Campus Security assisted.

Campus Security reported an alcohol violation in Morey Hall on Friday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m.

A hit-and-run traffic accident which occurred on campus was reported to Campus Security on Friday, Jan.23 at 5 p.m. The case is being handled by the Wayne Police Department.

A caller reported possible drug activity in Morey Hall to Campus Security on Sunday at 2:15 a.m. Security officers investigated, but were unable to find such drug activity.
