Insight with Dee and Jay: Let’s Begin
February 4, 2015
Beloved Reader,
Fan-freakin-tastic.
You’ve made it this far and you’re right in the middle of it all: That ridiculously pointless 8 a.m. class, that onagain- off-again relationship, the brutal hangovers,
the ongoing questions about faith and God, dumping fake friends, gaining real friends, discovering your true passions, being broke and in debt, falling in love, becoming who you are meant to be and the confusion and frustration that comes with deciding what you want to do with this life.
Stinkin’ college, man.
But hey, you don’t have to face this madness alone.
My partner and I, we go by Dee and Jay, are starting this advice column to help you, and anyone facing the same things, get through this jungle.
My partner, Jay, is a third-year communications major, superwoman by day, caretaker by night, and nurturing soul every day…or when she wants to be anyway. (I love you, Jay.)
As for me, Dee, I’m a senior here and have faced or dealt with friends who have faced just about every crazy college situation imaginable.
Having heard and consoled many friends, Jay and I thought it was time to make this a thing and help others get their voices heard and bring on the good feels to the Stater.
If you are seeking advice to be published, please email us at [email protected], and you may see your story here next Wednesday.
Sincerely yours,
Dee & Jay
(Dee and Jay are anonymous Stater staff writers and
the advice column,“Insight,” will be published weekly.)
