Wayne State College hosted Concordia-St. Paul September 24, winning 48-21 over the Golden Bears.

The Wildcats offense could not be stopped, putting up 518 yards of total offense lead by Nick Bohn, throwing for 227 yards and rushing for an additional 57 yards. A total of 22 players for the Wildcats defense recorded a tackle.

The second team offense and defense got playing time in the second half of the game. Tavian Willis, last season’s starting quarterback, came in the third quarter as did most of the team. The Golden Bears did the same, letting their second and third team get some reps in the blowout. Both teams scored 24 points in the second half. Bohn, Jacob Keiser, Anthony Watkins, Dawson Forgy, Jadon Johnson, Shane Orr and Gage Dengel all scored touchdowns.

The Wildcats reach 4-0 for the first time since 1993. That 1993 team went 9-1 on the year with the number one team in NCAA Division II in terms of total offense with 581.5 yards per game.

The Wildcats will travel to Winona State Oct. 1.
