“We were happy with the performance,” head coach Marlon Brink said. “There were a lot of kids who ran good times despite the cold and we set ourselves up well for the NSIC Championships.”

Junior Dylan Kessler placed 18th overall out of a field of 125 runners. He is a junior from Apache Junction, Arizona and he covered the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26:30.

“We are going to cut back on mileage ran at practice,” Brink said. “Less distance at a faster pace for higher intensity because they need to have their best race.”

The ‘Cats have the NSIC Championships in two weeks. They will compete on Saturday, Nov. 3 when the Wildcats travel to Aberdeen, South Dakota.

The men will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday while the women will start at 12:15 p.m.
