FOX to premiere ABC’s loved conservative show

A few months ago, late in the spring semester, I wrote an article about a TV show called “Last Man Standing.” The show stars Tim Allen, who plays the lead character of Mike Baxter.

The series was cancelled by ABC in May 2017, despite the fact that the show was the second-highest rated comedy on the network and the third-highest rated scripted TV show on the network too.

Most people blamed the cancellation on the show’s politically conservative themes and that “Last Man Standing” was the only show on the network that had a conservative theme. One could argue that at the time, it was the only show on broadcast television that had a very well-spoken conservative character.

All ABC said was that the network was moving away from comedies on Friday nights and that they were moving towards dramas, and that was the reason why the series was cancelled.

It was also hinted that since the show was not owned by ABC, but instead owned by 20th Century FOX, ABC would have to pay a hefty licensing fee for the following season and renegotiate actor contracts, which could cost even more money.

Less than a year later, ABC had started airing another conservative TV show, rebooting the “Roseanne” TV series. The show’s first episode generated over 18 million viewers and instantly became the network’s most popular sitcom. However, due to Roseanne Barr’s tweets over the summer, she was taken off the show and now the series is set to be not as political as the first season.

However, in May 2018, FOX decided to bring back and revive “Last Man Standing” for a seventh season. Like its run on ABC, FOX is moving the show to Friday nights in the exact same spot as ABC’s time slot. To make it even better, ABC has gone back to their old Friday night strategy and will once again be putting comedies on Friday, this time not having “Last Man Standing” in their lineup.

As of this month, the show will be returning to the small screen in less than one month. FOX has generated a lot of marketing and advertising to let people know that the series is returning to FOX and people could not be more excited about it.

The series will return on Sept. 28, 2018 and premiere at 7 p.m. CT on FOX…Not ABC.
