Casino Night comes back to Wayne State College

If you’re a Wayne State College student looking to have some fun and win high-quality prizes, make your way to the Frey Conference Suite in the Kanter Student Center at 7 p.m. next Tuesday for Casino Night.

Hosted by Student Senate, Casino Night is an annual event at which students can gamble tickets to win prizes. There will be 18 blackjack tables, two craps tables, two roulette tables, plinko, and mini golf staffed by Student Senators and faculty members.

On top of the gambling games, there will be a mechanical bull for students to ride, so bull-riding attire is a must. Popcorn, Chex Mix and “Mocktails” (non-alcoholic cocktails) will also be provided by the Student Activities Board.

Students who attend will be given 20 tickets at the door, which they can turn into more (or less) through playing gambling games. There will be buckets set up for each prize and students can put their winning tickets into whichever prize bucket they choose.

Big prizes will be drawn every hour, and other prizes will be given at the end of the night. Prizes for this year’s casino night include a Google Home, Fitbit, Keurig, Amazon Echo Dot, Xbox 1, Play Station 4, Google Chrome Cast, and 3 LED T.Vs. There will also be four Cat Cash cards for $50, 16 Cat Cash cards for $20, and 10 bookstore cards for $20 up for grabs.

“Casino Night is a fun way to get involved, and if you get to walk out with a TV, that’s even cooler,” said Student Senate President Matt Mullins.

“There is no other night (during the) year where you can win so many prizes so easily.”
