The Wayne State Wildlife Society sponsored a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo over the past weekend. Fourteen students camped out in the Desert Dome on Saturday night. The trip included two guided “hikes” at night and in the morning to various exhibits such as the Cat Complex, the Lied Jungle and the Madagascar exhibit. Students were able to see the animals before and after the zoo closed. During this time, the animals were more active than they usually are during zoo hours. Included in the trip were snacks and a movie.
