Dear Editor,

Thank you for the article in the Feb. 8 issue of the Stater about the unisex bathroom installation in the Kanter Student Center.

Thank you to Dr. Carstens, who is patiently working out the details of installing two locks and ordering two signs for those restrooms.

Thank you to the PRIDE Student Organization for their persistence in keeping this concern in the awareness of the campus and for offering the money, through their own fundraising efforts, to purchase the signs and locks (maybe doors) necessary to create the safe space bathrooms.

Thank you to the Student Senate for their support of the project.

And thanks again to all of the students who signed the petition last spring.
We look forward to the grand opening of these restrooms under new accessibility terms very soon.
