Kelly Weber presents her creative thesis: ‘The Field Guide to Small Dead Things’

WSC English Literature instructor Kelly Weber will present “The Field Guide to Small Dead Things: A Creative Thesis” next Wednesday (April 27).

 
This is the final colloquium of the semester and will take place in Humanities Room 318 at 3:30 p.m.

 
Weber will be reading and discussing poems from her creative thesis as well as exploring ethical concerns of human interactions with humans and nature.

 
Weber was the recipient of the Aletha Acers Steel Burgess Poetry Prize for her poem “American Spirits,” as well as the recipient of the Jerry Bradley Award for Creative Writing for her original poetry at the 36th Annual Southwest Popular/American Culture Conference in Albuquerque, N.M. She has also won multiple fiction and poetry slams.
The colloquium is free and open to the public.
