NSCS offers tips for hotline usage

Supervisors should be contacted before IntegraReport

There are many reasons to use the Nebraska State College System’s hotline, but complaining about office coffee isn’t one of them.

NSCS Chancellor Stan Carpenter forwarded a letter by email to WSC employees on Jan. 21 about the types of things to be reported to the IntegraReport Hotline Service.

In the event a college employee believes a fellow co-worker is engaging in misconduct, they are encouraged to report the incident to a supervisor or the hotline.

Those incidents include unauthorized or inappropriate use of NSCS assets, falsification of time sheets and expense reimbursement, and acceptance of inappropriate gifts from vendors.

It also mentioned situations that should not be reported, including personality differences with co-workers, annoying personal habits of co-workers, opinions regarding management decisions that have already been made– and complaints about the quality of the office coffee.

Any employee may anonymously submit a report by visiting www.IntegraReport.com/NSCS or by calling the toll-free hotline at 855-858-3344, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

According to the IntegraReport website, “IntegraReport is a third party hosted hotline to enable the safe, secure and anonymous reporting of activities which may involve misconduct, fraud, abuse and other violations of NSCS policies.

“IntegraReport cannot handle certain categories of concerns or general complaints, and it does not replace existing reporting methods on campus. We therefore encourage you to try to resolve problems or disputes through established channels when possible.”
