A disaster preparedness summit will be held Wednesday, March 11 in Gardner Hall hosted by the Wayne Area Economic Development, Wayne State College, Nebraska Extension and the Nebraska Business Development Center.

Registration opens at 9 a.m. and will begin at 9:30, lasting until 3 p.m.

Topics will include disaster basics; communicating through disasters; using technology and mobile apps during times of crisis; business resources available; long-term recovery team efforts and volunteer experiences following a disaster.
Registration is $29 and $69 for resource exhibitors. Organizations that provide information on disaster preparedness and recovery are welcome to participate. The registration deadline is March 6.
