A section of the Madrigal Singers stopped for a moment during the Renessaince Fair in Sioux City earlier this semester.

It’s dinner and a show. The 43rd annual Madrigal Dinners will be held Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m. in Frey Conference Suite in the Student Center. Tickets are $28 and only on sale until Nov. 24.

Guests will be entertained by the Wayne State College Madrigal Singers during a four-course Renaissance feast. The Madrigal Singers dress in full 16th century attire and perform a mixture of music, poetry and comedy. They are under the direction of Dr. Danielle Warner this year. The menu for the dinner includes prime rib, wassail and a flaming dessert.

The dinner will be accompanied by a court of period-replica instruments.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (402) 375-7407 or by emailing Mollie Spieker at [email protected].
