So you think you can lip sync?

Wayne State hosted its first lip sync battle on Sept. 19 in the lower gag. It consisted of about 13 contestants and was from 7 to 8 p.m.

There were three judges, one of which was President Rames. The event had students rolling off of their seats because the performances were hilarious.

A standout group had the crowd’s full attention. They lip-synced the song “Go Crazy” by Trill Younin, who is a Californian rapper. The crazy part about it was that nobody in the stands knew the song, but they were into the performance by the Three Young Gentlemen. Meanwhile, another contestant performed “Don’t Stop Believing,” and grabbed the crowd’s attention by doing passionate guitar motions. She played along with the song and even made the judges laugh.

“I think everybody was a best performer,” one of the judges said. “I think it takes a lot of courage to go up there and do your best moves and lip sync in front of a bunch of people.”
