One last performance

Joseph Lovercheck, Staff Writer

There are fewer than 10 days left in the spring 2016 semester, but for a handful of music students, there is still one last performance.

There will be student recitals on Saturday and Monday next week.

Trumpeter Katie Knox, Wausa, and pianist Emily Moore, Omaha, will perform at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

This performance will feature a variety of songs, making it unlikely that you don’t find at least one piece of music that you enjoy.

Monday will feature one student from each studio coming together to make a night filled with music, set to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The students selected this year include Rachel Sweeney, soprano; Bridget Krings, mezzo-soprano; Jaydn Harding, marimba; Marcus Knight, trombone; Katie Knox, trumpet and Amanda Daubendiek, flute.

Both recitals will take place in Ramsey Theatre and are free and open to the public.
